Intended for cats who require a low-phosphorus diet, this Restricted Diet Phosphorus Formula contains low levels of phosphorus, to help manage kidney disease.
This food is for Intermitted feeding only because of the low level of phosphorus. AFFCO ( the organization that sets feeding guidelines) has determined this formula does not meet federal guidelines. This food is intended for temporary feedings and not a permanent part of your cat's diet. Once your cat gets better you can discontinue using this food.
Our veterinarian suggested that higher levels of protein actually better support cats' carnivorous' bodies — and it also improves the taste!
