Red Fox Squirrel Nymph

The Red Fox Squirrel Nymph is a highly versatile trout pattern capable of imitating a wide variety of aquatic insects, including mayflies, stoneflies, scuds, and other drifting nymphs. Tied with natural squirrel materials and soft hackle, this fly produces subtle movement in the water that trout find extremely difficult to resist.

Its buggy profile and natural coloration make it an excellent searching pattern for rivers, streams, tailwaters, and stillwater fisheries. The Red Fox Squirrel Nymph can be fished dead drift beneath an indicator, tight-lined through seams and riffles, or swung slightly at the end of the drift to imitate emerging insects.

A dependable all-around nymph pattern, it performs well in both clear and slightly stained water conditions.
